Just another day in the life of good goods...

Last weekend, my bro-in-law drove cross country from Indiana with another trailer and truck load of antiques for us.  My sister, Pam,  has been working overtime to bring us some fantastic stuff!!!

This was the situation in the store last Sunday afternoon:

And these pictures don't begin to show the half of it!  Or the storage units....
We've been steadily chipping away at it  (plus lots has been selling, thank you all very much!!)
and we have some "after" photos now.

...and we're adding in the Fall and Halloween....

...because it's right around the corner........

Ever wonder where all those typesetter trays used to live?

One of my favorite pieces in the store right now.
 Thank you, Pamela!

Our old things look perfect with spooky stuff!

...oh and some new jewelry.

...and then UPS and Fed Ex showed up.....

The back room at 6pm tonight.  I think I'm going to go drink cry now.

I'm a bit late...

I said I'd post some pictures from around good goods the first week in August.
Ha!  I guess I got a bit busy.

Several very large pieces left the store during our Anniversary celebration and we're waiting for yet another load to arrive from Indiana...I've had some great things brought in by local pickers to fill most of the holes.

As Fall is approaching, more inventory will be arriving.
We hope to get out the good old spooky and orange before the month is over.

Orders have started shipping from Market.  It's
always fun to have new vendors gracing our space....

Especially when one of those shipments was CHOCOLATE.

Take care!!

To Market and etc.......

Off to Market in Las Vegas tomorrow for five days...it's going to be quiet in Boise for a few days...

I've never been to this Market so it should be an interesting adventure.  I'm meeting up with my sister there which is an adventure in itself.   She has more energy than 489 two year olds.  Plus, she is crazy.  Really.  She will tell you that herself.

It's certainly an interesting building, isn't it?  If this is anything like past Markets, I'll probably be lost and turned around the entire time we're there.  Just so I find the showrooms that serve food and cocktails have great merchandise. I'll tell you all about it when I get back next week.

We've been getting new shipments in and keeping the store stocked.  It's been a good summer here at good goods.  Here's a quick look around:

And as soon as I get back, the preparations for our
7th Anniversary Sale & Celebration
will begin.  (August 10 & 11--more info to come)

Another load of antiques will be arriving from Indiana..and I'm told these things will be in the trailer:
Cool old bed, huh?

Do you love this desk?  I love this desk.

Old snowshoes-COMPLETE!

And an eight foot farm table.  Look at the width of those boards on top.
Yum--this is a good one!

That's what's happening in my world over the next few weeks.  Fun!!!
Stop in and buy something while I'm gone.  Say "hi" to Melissa and make sure she's not getting in trouble.
Before I sign off, I'll share one of my favorite new tags with you:

Take care!!

I'm in tatters....shadoobie

I'm not sure I've ever been as shattered as Mick Jagger but I felt like I might have been close this past several weeks!  It's all this guys fault:

My brother in law, Greg, arrived from Indiana to bring the 21st century to good goods.
  We are officially computerized.
See how hard he is working?? (actually, he's not.  He's playing around with a vintage Japanese toy I found that measures how "hot" you are.  Greg is easily distracted by precision equipment....)

Greg arrived via truck hauling a trailer stuffed with antiques and good old rusty junk packed by Pam, my sister. Pam is an over achiever in her own right and now the store was looking like this:

 And this:

Ok, so hours and hours of deligent work on my part...have brought the store back to a semblance of normal. (and we all know that "normal is is the eye of the beholder".  Let's not get carried away here!)
You can now walk through the shop mostly unobstructed.
Stop in and try it for yourself!
(and I'll tell you a great story about Melissa and the "hot" meter!)

Stay cool,
